As scheduled, Governor Edgar Chatto yesterday led members of the Provincial Development Council (PDC) in the on-site inspection of the proposed P7-billion Bohol Northeasthern Basin Multi-Purpose Dam (Bohol Irrigation Project Stage 3) in a public land in barangay Concepcion, Danao.
Chatto, as chair of PDC, will schedule a meeting solely intended to discuss the details of the project. Continue reading
The Provincial Development Council Executive Committee, during its October 7, 2011 meeting, favorably endorsed the Annual Investment Plan for CY 2012 to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for approval.
Atty. John Titus J. Vistal presented to the Council the following list of projects by sector to be funded for CY 2012. He then informed that the allocated amount for the priority programs under the 20% Development Fund for CY 2012 was reduced compared to that of CY 2011.

Atty. John Titus Vistal presented to the Provincial Development Council’s (PDC) Full Council members during its latest meeting in June 2011 the Project Evaluation Criteria and Criteria Weights in the prioritization of programs and projects of Bohol. This is based from the prioritization technology of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) which emphasizes prioritization of programs and projects regardless of the source of fund.

April 4, 2011 was a red-letter day for the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO). Being the first Monday of the month, it is on this day that the Convocation Program was held with the PPDO as the lead office. Atty. John Titus Vistal delivered the PPDO 2010 Accomplishment Report before the elective officials, department heads and employees of the Capitol.

The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) of the Province of Bohol conducted a Basic Geographic Information System (GIS) Operations using the Manifold System 8.0 GIS software. The training was held on February 15-18, 2011 at the Juanito Cambangay Conference Room of the PPDO. The training was well participated by representatives of the invitees which includes 7 personnel from the PPDO and 12 personnel from the Municipal Local Government Units (LGUs)). The training was primarily intended to expand the GIS users base of the PPDO but was also extended to selected municipalities having received assistance from the PPDO in the preparation of their Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP). This extension is intended to sustain the PPDO assistance in terms of handling the GIS data generated as part of the assistance which will be turned over to the LGUs once the assistance is completed.
